memorial dedication

Last Saturday, September 15th, we gathered at Cave Hill Cemetery for the dedication of Sami’s monument. (see the Cave Hill link to see photos) Friends and family were there to share in the celebration; and show their love and support. It was a beautiful day. Kurt Sauder led our time of worship and celebration. Geoff spoke on behalf of our family; and Jacob, our son, read scripture. We sang, prayed, and as we closed our time of worship with singing Jesus Loves Me, we spread pink rose petals over Sami. It was breathtaking. Our hope and prayer is that when people come into Cave Hill grieving the loss of a loved one, they will see Christ, feel His presence and be comforted. We want the monument to be a reminder that this is not our home. We have an eternal home in heaven where there will be no sadness or suffering; no sickness or death. When we reach our eternal home with Christ, we will experience peace and joy to the fullest as we join our heavenly family for all eternity.
Christ/Sami sculpture dedication

Hello friends and family, We want to let you know that the date for the dedication of the Christ/Sami sculpture to be placed on Sami's gravesite in Cave Hill has been set for Saturday, September 15th at 11:00am. We anticipate the dedication will last about 30-40 minutes. Following the service, you are invited to come back to our home for a reception. This will be a celebration of life and a celebration of trusting in Christ. Everyone is welcome; so please help spread the word. For planning purposes, we would appreciate it if you could give us an indication of whether or not you will be able to come to Cave Hill, the reception, or both. We know the date is several weeks away, and we understand something may come up that will prohibit you from attending; however we need to do some preliminary planning. We will e-mail you directions to Sami’s monument and to our home prior to the dedication on September 15th. Thank you for your love, prayers and encouragement this past year. Time Change for Weekly Prayer Meeting

We are rescheduling our weekly meetings to Monday mornings from 8:30am to 9:05am. This new time will allow us to meet during "non-instructional" time; and enable us to comply with JCPS regulations. We will be meeting in the Science Classroom (108) at Bowen Elementary beginning next Monday, Oct. 29.
